Vanamoolika – Event Details

Yesterday we had Mr. Anith Puthiyangath, Director, World of Origins and Administrative Director at Vanamoolika Herbals as a guest addressing both batches of our MBA students. He presented how the business has grown resilient and sustainable from a social entrepreneurship initiative, to attract premium global buyers and global awards for its organic products. He answered students’ questions and gave a very clear picture of the prospects of organic farming in the future. Students learned from his valuable presentation covering a crucial and significant part of the business.Yesterday Mr. Chackochan Managing Director of Vanamoolika spoke with conviction and passion about his brain child Vanamoolika. Thirty years ago in 1991 to help the poor to reduce their medical expenses, have better health and enjoy a healthy lifestyle he started this society. He invested his time, energy, wealth and education into it. Troubles on the journey did not distort his attention to his purpose of serving the marginalized. His continued service took shape as Organic Wayana, Vanamoolika Herbals and Fair For Life. Ethics begets ethics. He met some ethical buyers on his journey who wanted to sustain the ethical enterprise. Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) is a crucial aspect of Impact Investment happening across the globe. Vanamoolika could enjoy the benefit of Impact Investment due to the commitment for ESG. He has created social assets for the nation and for Wayanad especially with the organic farming unpolluted soil, water and conserved medicinal herbs. Vanamoolika is a great case for teaching Ethics and UN SDGs. #vanamoolika #ayurveda #organiccoffee #organicfarming #organicrice #organicherbs #organicpepper#vanamoolika#OrganicHerbs#ayurveda#organicfarming#OrganicPepper#organiccoffee#organicrice#hetbalmedicines#lmims#mba#wayanad#lmcst #lourdesmathacollege #lourdesmathacollege
